New on 500px : Relic by RyanBuchanan

Made the trek up north to Hvitserkur seastack on my journey around Ring Road in Iceland back in June. At low tide I noticed the incredible patterns in the sand from the water. I lowered my tripod about a foot and a half off the ground and put on my 10 stop filter. I think this one was around 25 seconds. This made the water close to me blend nicely in with the sand and and allow the detailed patterns show through. I decided to go black and white (to the blue side a bit) b/c I could make it look a bit more dramatic. It was a nasty cloudy rainy day anyway. Thanks for checking out my work!
